Ninh Binh, Vietnam: Trang An and Tam Coc

IMG_20151019_124426        Another early morning was on call. After having breakfast and sorting myself out, I took a tourist bus to Ninh Binh, which is located 3 hours south of Hanoi.IMG_20151019_131839

Generally the ride was pretty uneventful except the mini bus got stopped by the police for half an hour or so. As I hopped off the bus in Ninh Binh, a guy approached a group of us, where he gave us a lift to his hostel and sorted out my sleeper bus I was taking that evening.

I decided to rent out a motorbike to make the most of my day. I drove through incredible mountainous scenery to Trang An. This was an incredible experience, where a lady paddle a group of us around the area on a small boat. She manovered the paddles with her feet for a while and took us through caves, where I had to duck so low to avoid smashing my head on the cave walls. There were wedding photo shoots in the lake as well.IMG_20151019_163758

After I drove to Tam Coc just to admire the view but again you can get a boat along the river as well as visit some pagodas. Generally this place has more tourists but I thought Trang An was nicer and more peacefully.

My bus finally picked me up, where I was given the three seats at the back so I slept like a baby.IMG_20151019_210716
