Highlights of 2014

In a few hours, it will be a brand new year so I thought (like everyone else), I would reflect on the past year: 365 days. As I approached last year’s New Years, I had no expectations or plans of the following year. I have had an incredible year, most things I couldn’t even predict doing. Here are my highlights of an amazing year:

– Travelling and experiencing some incredible countries and cultures: Portugal (Faro, Lisbon, Porto), Japan (Tokyo, Mt Fuji, Nagoya, Osaka, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Nara and 2 islands), Zimbabwe (Harare), Bulgaria (Sofia) and Spain (Barcelona).

– Being part of many weddings including being a bridesmaid

– Escape and Evade challenge – travelling for 3 days without spending money on food, accommodation and transport

– 12KM Warrior run through over 25 obstacles

– Raising £800 for Tearfund

– Spending my birthday with beautiful friends having afternoon tea and overcoming fears at Playzone

– Surviving school pressures and completing a whole year in one class as well as completing my NQT

– Making life-changing decisions where I quit my job to go on to new adventures abroad

– Living and having days out with some of the most amazing people and sadly moving out

– Weekend in Sheffield, Gloucester, Leicester.

– Spending days in London: touristing, watched Les Miserable at the theatre, seeing Ellie Goulding and going to Winder Wonderland

– Being involved in an incredible church and Red Frogs

– Spending time with my amazing sister

– Adventure days of quad biking, jet skiing, go karting, paint balling, 4×4 mud cars
